Contemplate where you’re at now.

Your busy life and constant stimulation by the external environment can leave you out of touch with yourself. Being constantly on the go provides a real challenge to step away long enough and take a good look at your inner world.

Do you take the time to nourish yourself, to feed your mind, your soul?

Do you meditate, exercise, and eat healthy?

Pause and reflect on this and make a daily commitment to take steps, no matter how small, to nurture your being.

Your mind is a profound device. It is capable of expanding your experience of life. Make your mind your friend.

How do you feel about your body?

Perhaps your body looks different than you would prefer; maybe it’s not quite as energetic, comfortable, or as youthful as you would like, or performs as well as you would wish. However, none of those conditions should prevent you from appreciating what a gift your body is.

Are you grateful for your body? Your body deserves your gratitude. It lets you breathe, move, taste, see, hear, feel, create. It is a vehicle for your Spirit to experience life.

Take a few minutes now to feel and reflect on what your body has to offer.

Take time to listen to your whole self.

Sit quietly to practice listening for at least ten minutes daily. Your inner world is always trying to tell you something. Pay attention. Stop everything during this time and just be.

It’s not easy to go back and recall memories, to confront the past and its limitations. Sometimes, the psyche locks the door to traumatic memories, and push as we might, we just can’t get in. But deep listening and tapping into your inner being is a powerful tool that everyone possesses.

All the answers you need are within. So take a journey within.

Self-exploration is like working out – uncomfortable at times, yet most rewarding. It gets easier when you’re consistent and focused.
